Spurs transfer news: Neres and alternative to Dybala and Lo Celso
Calciomercato (h/t Football.london) claims that Tottenham are ready to bid for David Neres.
The Brazilian had a great season for Ajax, helping them to the Eredivisie title. The 22-year-old also helped the Dutch side reach the Champions League semi-finals too.
Neres can play anywhere across the front-line but his best position is out wide. The report claims that Spurs see him as an alternative to Giovani Lo Celso and Paulo Dybala.
Dybala has been linked with Spurs in recent days but didn’t have a really great season for Juventus. Lo Celso was excellent for Real Betis in the previous season and joined them after spending the season with them on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The price quoted for Neres is £54m, and report claims that Spurs could move for the Brazilian if they fail to sign Lo Celso or Dybala.
A good alternative to the pair
Neres is the youngest of the three players and has the potential to improve further. The 22-year-old was also a part of the Brazil side that won the Copa America in the summer.
However, Dybala would be an incredible signing given his talent and experience. The Juventus star is versatile too and has been excellent for the Turin side apart from last season.
Lo Celso was a part of the Argentine national side for the Copa America and mostly plays as an attacking midfielder. Spurs could do with a quality attacker coming in this summer.
