Spurs transfer news: Lo Celso set to earn £3.64m after Tottenham switch from Betis
Nicolo Schira of Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Daily Star) claims that Giovani Lo Celso will earn £3.64m-per-season on a five-year deal at Tottenham.
The Argentine midfielder joined Real Betis from PSG after spending a year on loan at the La Liga giants.
The 23-year-old was one of the most impressive performers in the Spanish league last season, and the report claims that Lo Celso will cost Tottenham £55m.
The Italian outlet claims that an official announcement is close after the details of his deal and contract were revealed (h/t Daily Star).
The Argentine normally plays as an attacking midfielder but can also do a job in the number 9 role. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the system, with the report suggesting that Christian Eriksen’s time could be coming to an end at Tottenham.
The Dane has just one year left on his current deal and Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old (h/t Daily Star).
Spurs eyeing up one more deal
Tottenham have made two signings already this summer, and there could be one more deal after Lo Celso joins.
