Spurs transfer news: Celtic set to beat Tottenham for Charlie Allen
Tottenham could lose the race to sign Charlie Allen, with Celtic hopeful of landing the 15-year-old, according to the Scotsman.
The report claims that the Scottish giants have offered the youngster the chance to train at Lennoxtown before they make an offer.
The Northern Ireland U17 international has already made his senior debut for Linfield and can play as an attacking midfielder or as a striker.
The youngster has been linked with several clubs this summer, and the report claims that Spurs were thought to be leading the race for Allen at one point.
Allen was being eyed by Liverpool, Leicester City, Leeds United, Manchester United and Manchester City (h/t Scotsman). The youngster could have been a great signing for the future and he is one to keep an eye on in the coming years.
The 15-year-old has a long way to go and he needs to take the right decision on which club to join.
Tottenham have been busy in the summer window
The youngster should be playing reserve team football for whichever club he joins, but Spurs have made some moves in the transfer window already.
Tanguy Ndombele looks to be a fantastic signing for us after his move from Lyon, and Jack Clarke is another one for the future.
