Spurs transfer news: Tottenham want close to £11.5m for Wanyama this summer
The Daily Mail (h/t Sun) claims that Tottenham are looking to get at least £11.5m for Victor Wanyama this summer.
The Kenyan struggled with injuries in the previous campaign and only played 22 games for Spurs in all competitions.
Wanyama joined Tottenham from Southampton and had a great debut season under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Spurs have bolstered their midfield in the summer by signing Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon. The report adds that Bournemouth are interested in signing the midfielder and Tottenham are interested in adding more funds for Pochettino.
The 28-year-old is also attracting interest from Galatasaray and West Ham (h/t Sun).
Wanyama’s injury troubles were back in the pre-season again when he missed the Audi Cup and the midfielder is being assessed ahead of the season opener against Aston Villa.
The report claims that Wanyama could leave in the summer should he receive the right offer, and it will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming week.
Losing Wanyama would not be a huge blow
Tottenham have several options for the midfield, with Oliver Skipp also getting some minutes last season.
Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko are the other options who can play in the midfield, while Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min can also play in an attacking role.

Ndombele should start for us regularly and it will be interesting to see who pairs the Frenchman in the midfield next season.
