Spurs transfer news: Parker unsure about Sessegnon’s future

Fulham manager Scott Parker is unsure what the future holds for Ryan Sessegnon.

The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham have been linked with a £30m transfer to Tottenham (h/t Metro). The 19-year-old also missed Fulham’s Championship opener against Barnsley, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.

The Fulham manager claimed he doesn’t know about the future but revealed why Sessegnon was missing from the clash. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said (h/t Metro):

“Future-wise I’m not sure.

“In terms of why he’s not here with us, he’s coming back from an hamstring injury which he’s rehabbing. He’s back on the grass jogging and progressing well.”

The former Tottenham midfielder added that he had read about speculation regarding Sessegnon’s future but was planning to keep him at the club:

“I’m not sure really, obviously I’ve read all the speculation, we’ve all seen the speculation over the summer, but to this point now there’s been nothing that would suggest to me that that [Sessegnon leaving] would be the case.

“We’re planning with Ryan around, really.”

Fulham want to keep hold of Sessegnon

The report adds that Fulham want to keep hold of the English sensation but could sell the 19-year-old if Spurs stump up £30m.

The Championship star is a free agent at the end of the season and has been one of their best players in recent years.

Sessegnon can play in several positions and would be a great addition for the team.

Tottenham have Danny Rose and Ben Davies who can play at left-back, however, the report claims that Spurs made the English defender available in the summer.

Rose was even left out of the Asia tour but with no concrete offers, the left-back has been brought back into the team.
