Spurs transfer news: Tottenham willing to more than double Eriksen’s £80,000-per-week wage in new deal
The Daily Mail (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham are willing to offer Christian Eriksen a new deal which more than doubles his £80,000-per-week wage at the club.
The Dane is out of a contract at the end of next season and the report claims that Spurs are hopeful of persuading the 27-year-old to sign a new deal.
Eriksen has been linked with Real Madrid, but a move to the La Liga giants seems unlikely as Zinedine Zidane wants Paul Pogba at the club (h/t Football.london).
Release clause could be inserted in the contract
Tottenham
Eriksen is one of the best in the Premier League and losing him would be a big blow. However, letting him leave for free would see us miss out on a huge amount.
Spurs have similar problems regarding Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld too, as the Belgians could leave for free at the end of next season.
Hopefully, we get to keep Eriksen for the upcoming season. The 27-year-old must sign a new deal to to stay at the club for a few more years as it could benefit us hugely..
