Spurs transfer news: Tottenham hopeful of landing Sessegnon despite concerns about Rose’s future
The Evening Standard reports that Tottenham are hopeful of landing Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
The English youngster is out of a contract at the end of the next season and was one of Fulham’s best players a couple of years ago.
The report adds that the deal is independent of Danny Rose’s future. The left-back did not travel with Tottenham for the Asia tour in hopes of finding a new club.
However, Rose was brought back for the Audi Cup, which Tottenham won, and could yet remain at the club.
Rose has garnered interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, and the report adds that most of the links are coming from overseas clubs.
Foreign clubs have until the end of the month to sign players while English clubs have to finish their transfer dealings before the start of the season. Sessegnon would still be a great signing for Spurs this summer, even if Rose remains at the club.
Spurs having trouble selling unwanted stars
Rose isn’t the only player that Spurs are having trouble offloading. The report claims that Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou are also on the chopping block.
