Latest Spurs news: Moura signs contract extension to remain until 2024
Brazil star Lucas Moura signed a new deal with Tottenham which keeps him at the club until 2024.
The former Paris Saint-Germain attacker joined Spurs in 2018 and played his first full season last time around. Moura has made 61 appearances for Spurs since joining the club and has bagged 16 goals.
Although the Brazilian should have more goals to his name, he did bag some important ones last season.
Moura scored against Manchester United at Old Trafford, however, his hat-trick against Ajax will be remembered by all.
The Brazilian’s second-half goals in that game helped us reach the Champions League final last season and hopefully, he scores more this season too.
Spurs need Moura to score more goals
Harry Kane has been the main man when it comes to scoring goals but we need someone to take some pressure off his shoulders.
Son Heung-min has done a good job up top but Moura can also increase his goal tally. Mauricio Pochettino has also played two forwards in recent games, and it will be interesting to see if the Argentine continues this way.
Many fans were pleased with the decision to extend Lucas’ stay at Tottenham, and here are some of the reactions from Twitter.
