Spurs transfer news: Jenas claims Pochettino could leave for Madrid

Mauricio Pochettino is one of the best managers in the world but hasn’t won a trophy at Tottenham. Spurs played in the Champions League final last season but missed out on the title.

Tottenham have also been involved in a Premier League title race, however, the Argentine has been linked with a move to Real Madrid too (h/t Sun).

Mauricio Pochettino during training

The Argentine revealed that he had rejected a move to the Spanish giants (h/t Sun), however, Jermaine Jenas claimed it would be difficult to say no to a crazy offer. The former Tottenham midfielder told Express Sport (h/t Sun):

“If Mauricio gets a crazy job offer – for example, if Real Madrid came in for him, which is quite possible – who turns down Real Madrid?”

Jenas added that Pochettino could win several trophies at Real but said that it would be special for him to lift a trophy at Spurs.

“If he went there and won trophies, he would be just like a lot of other Real Madrid managers.

“But if he could win something big at Tottenham, it would be very special after the amount of time and effort he’s put into building the team.”

The last trophy Spurs won was in 2008 and hopefully, the Argentine can break that duck this season.

Tottenham have spent well in the summer
