Spurs transfer news: Turkish club in England to discuss a deal for Victor Wanyama
Galatasaray are in England to hold talks regarding a transfer move for Victor Wanyama, according to Fanatik (h/t Yahoo Sports).
The Turkish giants have sent Sukru Haznedar, a top official, to London as they aim to close down a deal for the Tottenham midfield star.
The report claims that Galatasaray are currently awaiting a word from Haznedar as they have already prepared a budget for the Kenyan star. The Supr Lig champions are also interested in signing Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Victor Wanyama’s game time has reduced in recent times and he was an unused substitute in the Premier League opener against Aston Villa.
Our midfield now looks quite strong after the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele but that doesn’t mean we must offload Wanyama. The midfield trio of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Ndombele looks terrific but we have to have the perfect backup plan as well.
Wanyama is a brilliant midfield destroyer and he would provide us with a different dimension in the midfield.
It is quite clear that Galatasaray are in England to sign a central midfielder and if we play hardball, they might settle for Chelsea’s Bakayoko.
Nevertheless, if offloading Wanyama is the decision that the club is going to take, then we shouldn’t let him go on the cheap as the Kenyan star is an immensely talented individual.

Wanyama’s contribution to this Tottenham side has been an important one so far and it remains to be seen as to how the club reacts to this transfer offer from Galatasaray.
