Latest Spurs news: Moura has the perfect tweet regarding his goal against Man City
Lucas Moura didn’t start for Tottenham in their draw against Manchester City, but the Brazilian came off the bench to have a telling moment.
It was surprising to see the attacker on the bench with Erik Lamela getting the nod in the XI. Manchester City started the game in all-out attack mode and soon scored via Raheem Sterling.
Kevin de Bruyne was having a brilliant first half as he found space time and again and made us pay with some delicious crosses.
However, Lamela soon equalised after he caught out Ederson with a curling effort. City then restored their lead when De Bruyne found Sergio Aguero before half-time.
Moura was brought on in the second half and the Brazilian made an instant impact.
Fans go crazy after Moura’s introduction
There was some controversy right at the end with Gabriel Jesus celebrating the winner, but the goal was ruled out as Aymeric Laporte had handled the ball just before the Brazilian struck.
This brought back memories of the Champions League clash from last season, and VAR was on our side once again.
Moura certainly had a great impact coming off the bench and it was surprising that he out-jumped several City defenders to head in the second equaliser.
Nevertheless, the Brazilian had a great tweet regarding his introduction and here are some of the reactions from the Spurs fans to Moura’s message.
