Spurs transfer news: Eriksen won’t enter contract talks despite £200,000-a-week offer
Christian Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season and the Mirror claims that the Dane has received no offers from other clubs so far.
The Dane is one of the best in the Premier League and Tottenham’s officials are confused as to why the midfielder isn’t sitting down for contract talks (h/t Mirror).
The report claims that Eriksen has been offered £200,000-a-week by Spurs, and that would make him one of the highest earners under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, the Dane wants a move to either Barcelona, Juventus or Real Madrid (h/t Mirror).
The European transfer window is open until 2nd September, and Tottenham can sell players to foreign clubs.
Eriksen is playing a dangerous game
The report adds that Eriksen’s representatives aren’t willing to discuss a new contract with Spurs. However, none of the clubs has made any inclination to sign the Tottenham star.
This leaves Eriksen’s future in limbo and he could remain at Tottenham beyond the window should a club fail to register a quality bid.
Dealing with Daniel Levy will be another problem for any club wanting to sign Eriksen, but Spurs have to play the game right.
Losing Eriksen for free would be a major error in our transfer business as we could get a decent sum from his sale this summer.

However, keeping him until the end of this season could see him join a Premier League rival, which would be a huge blow for us.
