Spurs transfer news: Tottenham scout Rennes youngster Camavinga
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham had sent scouts over to watch Eduardo Camavinga in action against Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend.
The 16-year-old put up an excellent display against the French champions and helped Rennes defeat the Parisians.
The defensive midfielder set up the match-winning goal and was excellent throughout the night as PSG struggled to get the better of Rennes.
The report claims that Manchester City and Arsenal also sent scouts to watch Camavinga at the weekend, and Tottenham were interested in the teenager last season too.
The Angola-born midfielder has also gained the attention of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid (h/t Daily Mail), and the youngster is already being compared to another French talent, Paul Pogba.
Camavinga has a long way to go in his career but he is one of the brightest talents coming through the French system.
Tottenham have already raided France this summer
Spurs made one of the best moves in the summer by landing Tanguy Ndombele, and the Frenchman has been one of the bright spots so far this season.
Camavinga could be a great addition to the team but we need to see how he does in the coming months.
