Spurs transfer news: Nkoudou joins Turkish giants Besiktas from Tottenham
Tottenham have continued shipping out deadwood, with Georges-Kevin Nkoudou joining Turkish giants Besiktas.
The French winger completed his medical on Thursday and signed permanently for a fee of £4.6million (h/t Evening Standard).
The 24-year-old struggled to make an impact at Spurs and spent time on loan at Burnley and Monaco.
The Evening Standard adds that Nkoudou has signed a four-year deal with Besiktas which is worth £29,000-per-week.
The Frenchman assisted one goal for Spurs in the win over Fulham last season and got a few minutes against Aston Villa this season.
Vincent Janssen was also sold this summer and the Dutch striker did not seem to be a part of our plans.
Emotional message from Nkoudou
The winger might not have been the greatest signing made by Spurs, but he did leave with an emotional message to the fans.
The 24-year-old thanked the fans for the support and added that he had learned a lot at the club despite not playing too many times under Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs have done well to get rid of some players and hopefully, Nkoudou has a better time in Turkey than he did since joining us.
Many Tottenham fans thanked Nkoudou for his efforts at the club and wished him the best for his new journey.
