Spurs transfer news: Eriksen interested in joining one of three clubs
ESPN (h/t Sun) claims that Christian Eriksen is still open to leaving the club before 2nd September but will only move to one of the following three clubs – Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and the Sun adds that he is not close to signing a new deal with Tottenham.
Eriksen has been one of our more consistent stars since joining from Ajax, however, he has spoken about taking up a new challenge in recent months.
Eriksen rejected a move to a rival
The report claims that Manchester United were interested in the 27-year-old, however, Eriksen rejected a move to our Premier League rivals.
Losing the Dane in the final year of his contract would be a blow, but it is better to sell him abroad.
Selling the Dane now is the best option for Spurs if he wants to leave. Keeping him until January would see us earn considerably less, but Eriksen could speak with foreign clubs and leave for nothing next summer.

It would be great if we can keep him beyond this window and try to negotiate a new deal, but that is a major risk as the Dane could reject our advances and move on for free.
