Latest Spurs news: Tottenham face some problems in defence ahead of Arsenal clash

Tottenham could be forced into making a tough decision regarding the right-back spot for the Arsenal clash.

Kyle Walker-Peters had to be subbed off in the loss against Newcastle United and Moussa Sissoko had to slot into this position.

Football.london reports that it could have been a hamstring injury for the English defender, and Mauricio Pochettino could be worried about Walker-Peters’ involvement for the weekend’s game.

Walker-Peters has done well since the start of the season but Spurs’ options are limited in the position.

Tough decision for Pochettino ahead of the derby

Facing Arsenal at any point of the season is never easy, and both the clubs are coming into this clash after picking up losses.

Pochettino doesn’t have Kieran Trippier on the books after selling him to Atletico Madrid while Serge Aurier is yet to play this season.

Juan Foyth, who can play as a right-back, won’t return before September due to an ankle injury he picked up during pre-season.

The manager has tinkered with the back-line in recent seasons, and we could play a back-three should Jan Vertonghen come back into the team.
