Spurs transfer news: Club Brugge agree on £12m deal for Wanyama
Victor Wanyama’s Tottenham career is close to being done after Sky Sports tweeted that a deal with Club Brugge was agreed on.
The Kenya midfielder has struggled with injuries in the past two seasons and has not played for us this season.
Mauricio Pochettino had also spoken out about Wanyama’s time at the club and suggested that a move away would be great for all parties.
Sky Sports added that the deal was worth £12m, which isn’t a bad offer given that Wanyama had barely played for us.
Fans pleased with the offer from Brugge
The Belgians will face Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray in the group stages of the Champions League, and Wanyama should feature for them if he remains fit.
The 28-year-old was a fantastic buy from Southampton a few years ago, however, he wouldn’t get a lot of minutes this season as we have sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
A move to a less physical league could also be great for Wanyama, and the Kenya international has previously played in Belgium too.
Wanyama did have some great moments for Spurs, such as the thunderbolt against Liverpool at Anfield.
Many Tottenham fans were pleased with the deal while some wished Wanyama the best as he is set to start a new chapter in his career.
