Spurs transfer news: Gascoigne advises Eriksen to stay at Tottenham
Tottenham legend Paul Gascoigne has advised Christian Eriksen to remain at the club.
The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and has been linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (h/t Football.london).
Eriksen also claimed that he was ready for a new challenge at the end of the previous season and Football.london reports that Spurs are unsure of what the future holds for the Dane.
However, Gascoigne spoke with Football.london and claimed that the 27-year-old should remain at the club:
“He (Eriksen) is important to the squad and Spurs have got to keep players like him. But it’s not a game anymore, though, it’s a business. Player power and money talks.
“If I were a player now I would want to stay at Tottenham Hotspur. I have seen the facilities and the players that they have got. They have some
potentially world class players. I think it’s a great club to stay at.”
Gazza wants to play under Pochettino
The former Spurs star added that he would have loved to play under current manager Mauricio Pochettino, and claimed that the Argentine is someone “you would want to play for”.
Eriksen can still leave for free at the end of the season but keeping him would be the best for all parties.
Hopefully, we can get the Dane to sign a new deal and extend his stay at the club. Tottenham have been on the up under Pochettino since the Argentine took over and reached the Champions League final last season.

Eriksen is one of the best in the Premier League and it would be difficult to replace the Dane.
