Latest Spurs news: Dier being assessed ahead of North London derby on Sunday
Tottenham already have a tough task on their hands travelling to the Emirates on Sunday, and the latest injury news isn’t great for the side.
Ryan Sessegnon and Juan Foyth are still continuing their rehab from injuries, and are unlikely to feature on Sunday.
As we already know, Kyle Walker-Peters has a hamstring strain and is unavailable for the clash.
The Englishman picked up the problem in the 1-0 loss to Newcastle while Tanguy Ndombele is also ruled out of the game.
The midfielder didn’t feature against the Magpies and has started on-field rehabilitation regarding a thigh problem.
Spurs need to find a right-back to play on Sunday and Eric Dier could have done the job.
However, the update added that the midfielder is being assessed ahead of the clash after complaining about a hip problem.
Aurier back in the team?
Serge Aurier is the only other recognised right-back in the side and could feature for us on Sunday, however, he is yet to play for the team this season.
The other option for Mauricio Pochettino is playing Moussa Sissoko in that position but we would miss his presence in the midfield.
Poch could play with a back-three featuring Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld against the Gunners.

However, that has a problem too with Vertonghen not having played a game for us this season.
