Latest Spurs news: Tottenham let two-goal lead slip as we draw 2-2 with Arsenal
Tottenham should have returned from the Emirates with all three points after racing to a 2-0 lead.
Arsenal didn’t know what hit them in the first half as we created several chances to score.
Christian Eriksen gave us an early lead after slotting home from Bernd Leno’s feeble save. Erik Lamela had tested the Arsenal keeper with a low shot, and the Dane was in the right spot to put us 1-0 up.
Granit Xhaka then fouled Son Heung-min in the box with Harry Kane slamming home the penalty to give us a deserved 2-0 lead. However, some crazy moments before half-time allowed Alexandre Lacazette to lash in and score.
Arsenal turn up the heat in the second half
The Gunners were the hungrier side in the second half as they put us under a lot of pressure. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got the equaliser but we had our chances to score
The last 10 minutes were crazy as it was end-to-end football, and we should have had a penalty late in the game when Harry Kane was bundled over by Sokratis in the box.
Nevertheless, it was a decent performance from the side and on another day, we would have won the game.
Many Spurs fans rued our inability to finish the game off while some were happy that we got a point from another tough away game.
