Christian Eriksen unlikely to join Juventus with Spanish move on the cards

The Daily Express (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Christian Eriksen is unlikely to join Italian giants Juventus.

The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and is unlikely to extend his stay at Tottenham, according to the report.

The 27-year-old had spoken about taking up a new challenge after our Champions League defeat but could not seal an exit from the club this summer.

The report claims that Eriksen wants to play in Spain, with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid interested in the 27-year-old.

It will be interesting to see where Eriksen ends up, as both Real and Atletico have been big spenders this summer. Real landed Eden Hazard while Atletico spent big to sign Joao Felix.

Atletico have started this season perfectly in the league with three straight wins, and we sold Kieran Trippier to them this summer.

Can Eriksen seal a move?

Eriksen is a free agent at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see if either Real or Atletico come for the 27-year-old.

It was a bit of a surprise to see him stay at Tottenham beyond the summer but he has a few months to perform well for the team.

The Dane scored in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal and found the back of the net twice in Denmark’s 6-0 win over Gibraltar.
