Tottenham’s head scout impressed by Vedat Muriqi after performance against England
Turkish outlet Fanatik (h/t Daily Mail) claims that Tottenham’s head scout was left impressed after Vedat Muriqi’s performance against England.
The Kosovo striker scored in the 5-3 loss for his team in a Euro 2020 qualifier but was one of the most impressive players on the pitch.
The Fenerbahce forward made an impression on Steve Hitchen, and the report claims that Spurs will continue monitoring the 25-year-old.
Pochettino could search for striker later in the season
Tottenham allowed a couple of first-team strikers to leave this season, and they don’t have recognised cover for Harry Kane.
Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura can play as the striker, but the pair have also done well in other positions for the team.
The report claims that Mauricio Pochettino could be in the market for a striker should Tottenham reach the latter stages of the Champions League.
Spurs reached the final in the previous season, but we still need someone who can provide competition to Kane for a starting spot in the team.
Muriqi has done well in Turkey and has scored 12 goals in his last 13 appearances in the league.

The Kosovo forward wouldn’t start too many games for us, but he would provide us with another option, in case things don’t go well for the team.
