David Beckham tells Mauricio Pochettino that he wants to play for Tottenham
Mauricio Pochettino must have been happy with the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at the new Tottenham Stadium.
Spurs had a tough start to the campaign with a defeat by Newcastle at home, but we were incredible against the Eagles.
Son Heung-min was one of the stars of the show, however, David Beckham was also present in the stands watching the game.
The English legend had met with the Tottenham squad last season too and the Sun quoted Pochettino saying that Beckham wanted to play for Spurs thanks to the stadium:
“I was talking with Beckham after the game and he said he wished he still played and that he played for Tottenham because this stadium is amazing. We haven’t played many games here and it’s important to make this our house.
“With time we will be at home here and then it will become very difficult for opponents to win here.”
