Tottenham to offer mega €260,000-a-week deal to out of contract 27-year-old talisman

The Daily Mail (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Tottenham are set to offer Christian Eriksen a new deal to keep hold of the 27-year-old.

Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season, and the report adds that the Dane has attracted the interest of Juventus, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The Dane has become one of the best players in the Premier League since joining from Ajax and it would be incredible if we could keep hold of the 27-year-old. Tottenham are preparing a deal worth €260,000-a-week to keep their star, according to the report.

Eriksen can leave for nothing next season

The Dane leaving on a free transfer would be a huge error in our transfer dealings and would cost us millions in transfer fees.

The 27-year-old has looked impressive for us this season, having played in all five Premier League games, and it will be interesting to see how he performs once the Champions League starts.

Eriksen had spoken about taking up a new challenge at the end of the previous campaign and it was a surprise why he couldn’t seal an exit this summer.

The 27-year-old has his best years ahead of him and keeping him at the club would be quite an achievement after the summer window. Tottenham were able to keep hold of most of their stars and spent big on Tanguy Ndombele.
