Tottenham face injury concerns with five players doubtful for Olympiakos clash
Tottenham start their Champions League campaign against Greek giants Olympiakos on Wednesday.
Spurs had a tricky time in the group stage last season and needed some last-minute goals to qualify to the knockout rounds.
However, they should have an easier route to the next stage with Bayern Munich and Red Star Belgrade as the other opponents in the group.
The Greek side cannot be taken lightly despite Spurs having the better team on paper, and we also have some injury concerns. The Daily Star reports that five players have slight niggles ahead of the game, and a few could miss out on the clash.
Some big names certain to miss out for Tottenham
The biggest name to miss out on the clash is Giovani Lo Celso. The Argentine picked up an injury during the international break and is ruled out until the end of October.
Lo Celso hadn’t made a start for us since joining from Real Betis, and we will have to wait for a while to see him in action.
The other player who is ruled out, according to the report, is Ryan Sessegnon. The youngster is nursing a hamstring injury after hurting himself while playing for England U21 and hasn’t played for us at all.
Davinson Sanchez missed the game against Crystal Palace but the Colombian has a chance of featuring against Olympiakos.
