Moussa Sissoko signs a new deal with Tottenham keeping him until 2023
Moussa Sissoko was one of our best players last season and has been rewarded with a new deal. Tottenham confirmed that the Frenchman would remain at the club until 2023 after he signed a new contract.
The 30-year-old has turned his career around after struggling in his debut season. The former Newcastle star was excellent in our Champions League run, but things haven’t gone all that well this time around.
Sissoko has made it back to the national team, thanks to his performances, and told Tottenhamhotspur.com that he is aiming for trophies.
Tottenham came close to winning the Champions League last season and hopefully, we can string some positive results in the coming weeks.
Fans happy with new deal for Sissoko
Sissoko has to be credited for doing well after his initial poor season with the club. It would have been easy to move on to another team but the Frenchman dug his heels and has become an integral part of the team.
The Frenchman seems to be everywhere on the pitch and is capable of playing as a right-back too. Sissoko might not be the one to get the goals but he certainly gives it his all on the pitch. The 30-year-old has a huge part to play in our season as we try to get back on track.
Many Tottenham fans were pleased with Sissoko getting a new deal, and here are some of the reactions from Twitter.
