Tottenham will target a centre-back and a midfielder in future transfer windows
Tottenham seemed to have had a great transfer window after landing the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon. Jack Clarke was also signed but the youngster was sent back to Leeds on loan.
Ndombele has shown glimpses of what he can do on the pitch but Lo Celso and Sessegnon are yet to start for us after picking up injuries.
The team hasn’t done well either, after some poor results in recent weeks and Mauricio Pochettino could make some changes in the upcoming transfer windows.
Jack Pitt-Brooke of the Athletic was asked who Tottenham could try to bring in the winter window or at the end of the season, and the journalist replied:
“At least one CB, at least one midfielder.”
Tottenham didn’t sign a centre-back this summer, but that could change as Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are tipped to leave the club soon, according to Pitt-Brooke. The other players expected to leave are Christian Eriksen and Victor Wanyama (h/t Athletic).
A major rebuilding job at Spurs
Eriksen, Alderweireld and Vertonghen are free agents at the end of this season and it will be interesting to see who we sign as replacements.
The three stars
Finding quality replacements won’t be easy either and hopefully, Lo Celso takes over from Eriksen once he is back to fitness.

Spurs do have Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth who can play as centre-backs, but we would need another senior defender to help the pair should Vertonghen and Alderweireld leave.
