Inter Milan want to sign Christian Eriksen on a free deal
Christian Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season and could leave on a free transfer. The Dane had spoken about taking up a new challenge after the Champions League final but remained at Tottenham after the summer window.
The 27-year-old has had his struggles this season with some average performances for the club. However, Calciomercato claims that the Dane isn’t close to renewing a contract with Spurs and extend his stay.
Inter Milan are interested in landing the 27-year-old but only on a free transfer at the end of this season (h/t Calciomercato).
Antonio Conte has already raided Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, and is trying to break Juventus’ hold of the Serie A title.
Inter are the only Serie A club with a 100% win record this season and lead the standings by two points. Conte knows the Dane well, thanks to his time at Chelsea, and it will be interesting to see where Eriksen ends up.
Not an easy move for Inter
The report adds that the move planned by Inter is “ambitious” but cannot be ruled out.
The Dane is free to negotiate with foreign clubs in the winter window ahead of a free move at the end of the campaign.
Losing the 27-year-old would be a major blow as he is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
