Manchester United to return for Christian Eriksen in January
Christian Eriksen’s future is far from certain as the Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old hasn’t signed a new deal with Spurs and had spoken about taking up a new challenge too.
Manchester United tried to land him in the summer but a deadline-day move could not be completed, according to The Athletic (h/t Daily Star).
The Dane remained at the club beyond the summer, but the report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will attempt another move in January.
Eriksen could leave for free in the summer, but United would have to pay a transfer fee to sign him in January.
Eriksen unsure about United move
The Dane wants to play in La Liga with Real Madrid and there is no surety that he would move to Old Trafford (h/t Daily Star).
The 27-year-old is one of the most creative players in the Premier League but hasn’t been at his best this season.
Most of our players have struggled in this campaign, but we returned to winning ways against Southampton.
Tottenham should do all they can to keep hold of Eriksen, and cannot allow him to sign for a rival.
It would be better to let him join a foreign club in the summer, rather than a move North.
