Serie A giants Inter Milan interested in Jan Vertonghen
Tottenham have several players in the final year of their contracts and could leave on free transfer at the end of the season.
Jan Vertonghen is one such player and Calciomercato claims that Inter Milan are interested in the 32-year-old. The Belgian has had his problems with injuries, but he is one of the best in the league.
Vertonghen didn’t start a few games this season but has made his way back into the team under Mauricio Pochettino.
Juventus are also interested in the Belgian (h/t Calciomercato) and it will be interesting to see what the next step is for Vertonghen. Inter have made a flying start in the Serie A and have a 100% record after six league games.
Big decision on the hands for Vertonghen
The Belgian has a tough decision to make regarding his future as playing in the Serie A is less intense when compared to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old could play for a few more years at the top in Italy, however, he should be able to do a great job under Mauricio Pochettino too.
Spurs risk losing one of the most experienced defenders for free and finding a replacement won’t be easy.
