Dinamo Zagreb wanted £31m for Tottenham target Dani Olmo
Tottenham were interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo in the summer (h/t Express).
The 21-year-old attacker was one of the stars in Spain’s U21 Euro success and has been excellent for the Croatian side.
Olmo joined Dinamo from Barcelona and helped them to a brilliant 4-0 win over Atalanta in the Champions League.
The youngster was also in the starting XI as Manchester City beat them last night, and Marca (h/t Express) claims that Zagreb put a huge price on his head. The 21-year-old attracted the interest of Liverpool, Valencia and Atletico Madrid, and his club value him at £31m (h/t Express), which scared off suitors.
The Spaniard has done a great job at Zagreb despite taking a bit of a risk by leaving the Catalan giants. Tottenham were busy in the summer as they landed four players but things haven’t gone well for the new signings.
Injuries limit playing time for new faces
Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon came to the club with a lot of hype, but they haven’t made a start for Spurs yet.
Lo Celso was expected to freshen up out attack, however, the Argentine is out of action till October. Sessegnon is also out with a hamstring injury and hasn’t played a minute for the club yet.
