Paulo Dybala uninterested in leaving Juventus despite Tottenham links
Tottenham had agreed on a deal to sign Paulo Dybala in the summer window (h/t Independent).
The Argentine had struggled to break into Maurizio Sarri’s team and the Juventus manager didn’t see him as a part of the plans.
However, the deal fell through as Dybala’s image rights could not be resolved (h/t Independent) and Corriere dello Sport (h/t Express) now claims that the Argentine never wanted to leave the Italians.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-German were also keen on Dybala in the summer, but neither could land the talented Argentine (h/t Express).
Dybala’s turnaround is a little surprising given that he didn’t feature in Juve’s win over Bayer Leverkusen last night. The 25-year-old has made three starts in the league this season but his struggles in front of goal continue.
Dybala has just one assist to his name in the Serie A and it will be interesting to see how he does in the remainder of the campaign.
Tottenham could have done with Dybala
Spurs have struggled this season and the latest result was a hammering at the hands of Bayern Munich.
Dybala would have solved some of our attacking problems, but it seems that there are issues in the entire team. Our defence isn’t doing a good job and the way we capitulated against the Bavarians is a concern.
