Mauricio Pochettino has become distant since returning in the summer
Tottenham’s stars fear that manager Mauricio Pochettino is trying to engineer a move away from the club, according to the Daily Mail.
The Argentine has been distant at the training centre since returning for the season but wanted the team to put up a united front after the mauling handed down by Bayern Munich (h/t Daily Mail).
Pochettino has been able to turn the club around, but things haven’t gone well for us since the start of the year.
We haven’t won many games and the loss in the Champions League final seems to have hit us hard. The report claims that some players have seen a change in Poch’s behaviour this season, however, he is safe from the sack.
Tottenham would have to pay out £32million if they were to remove him, however, they would get some money back if another club signs him (h/t Daily Mail).
The Argentine had spoken about the Champions League final possibly being his final game at the club too, however, he remained in charge post the summer window.
Tottenham cannot lose Poch now
Things might not be great at the club but letting Poch leave or sacking him isn’t the answer.
The Argentine has done a lot for us since taking over from Southampton, and it will be interesting to see how he turns things around in the coming weeks.

We have some great players but some of the blame falls on them too. They haven’t been at their best since the season began, and things have to improve as we travel to Brighton at the weekend.
