Christian Eriksen prefers move to Real Madrid over Manchester United

Christian Eriksen would prefer to join La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of Manchester United, according to Metro (h/t Express).

The midfielder is a free agent at the end of the season and is unlikely to extend his stay at the club (h/t Express).

Eriksen was linked with an exit during the summer but could not get his move as Daniel Levy wanted £70million (h/t Express) to part with the 27-year-old. However, links with both Real and United have emerged ahead of the winter window (h/t Express).

Eriksen wanted the same move in the summer

The report claims that Eriksen preferred a move to the Spanish giants over United despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer contacting the Dane. \

Should Los Galacticos fail to land Eriksen, the Dane could end up at Old Trafford (h/t Express). Tottenham are in a spot of bother with the Dane as he is a free agent at the end of the campaign.

They could sell him in the January window to make some money from the sale, however, sending him to Old Trafford should not be an option.

We have strengthened the Red Devils in the past by selling Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick and that cannot take place with Eriksen.

Eriksen has had a tough campaign this time around and it will be interesting to see what happens with the Dane in the coming weeks.

A move in January might not hurt us much if Giovani Lo Celso starts putting in quality performances.

However, the Argentine hasn’t played for us since the previous international break due to a hip problem.
