Tottenham interested in signing Juventus star Blaise Matuidi
Tottenham are keen on landing 32-year-old midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to English reports (h/t Calciomercato).
The Frenchman joined Juventus from PSG two years ago and is a regular for the Italian giants. However, he is a free agent at the end of this season and there is no clarity on his future (h/t Calciomercato).
Manchester United are also keen on the World Cup winner and both Premier League clubs
The midfielder is known for his tenacity and tackling, and is capable of running into the opposition defence with the ball. Matuidi isn’t a regular when it comes to scoring goals, but he does provide a lot of steel and stability in the midfield.
Tottenham to add to their midfield?
Spurs made one of the best signings of the summer by landing Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon. The midfielder can do a bit of everything and has had a decent start to his Tottenham career.
Moussa Sissoko has also done extremely well over the past two seasons, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for Matuidi.
The Juventus star has loads of experience and could provide us with more options in the midfield. Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier haven’t been at their best and we could do with a fresh face.

Matuidi’s age would be a concern given he is 32, however, he could still have a couple of quality years left in him.
