Mauricio Pochettino interested in landing Nice’s Youcef Atal
The Daily Star reports that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy will hold meetings to discuss January transfers.
Tottenham have struggled to perform this season and many of our players are free agents at the end of the season.
We recently lost to Brighton and were hammered 7-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League too.
The report claims that several players could be sold in the winter window while Pochettino will ask the club to reignite their interest in Paulo Dybala and also make a move for Youcef Atal.
Atal starring in the attack
The Nice right-back has been one of the most consistent players in Ligue 1 but has taken up a more advanced role this season.
The Algerian is playing as a winger this season and could be the versatile signing that can solve some problems at Tottenham.
The 23-year-old could be our first-choice right-back should he join in January, and would provide cover to some of our attackers too.
Serge Aurier has struggled this season while Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth have missed games due to injuries.
We sold Kieran Trippier in the summer and didn’t sign a replacement for the Englishman either.
It has been a tough season for Tottenham and hopefully, Levy and Pochettino can devise a plan to get the right players.
