Tottenham monitoring Adrien Rabiot as Christian Eriksen is expected to leave
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that Tottenham are interested in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot (h/t Calciomercato).
The Frenchman joined Juve on a free transfer this summer but things haven’t worked out for him. The 24-year-old is being watched by Spurs as Christian Eriksen is expected to leave London in the next two transfer windows (h/t Calciomercato).
The Dane is a free agent at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see where he could end up.
Rabiot’s mother has also contacted Barcelona due to her son’s lack of playing time in Turin (h/t Calciomercato).
The Frenchman was one of the most exciting players in Ligue 1 but hasn’t contributed to a goal for Juve. Maurizio Sarri had similar problems with players during his time at Chelsea and Rabiot would be an excellent addition to Tottenham.
A quality player with years ahead of him
The midfielder could take up a deeper role alongside Tanguy Ndombele but he only moved to Juve in the summer and might not come on the cheap.
The 24-year-old has the potential to improve under Mauricio Pochettino and we should try to snap him as Eriksen’s replacement.
Rabiot isn’t as creative as the Dane, but Pochettino would know how to best use the 24-year-old.
