West Brom could sell Tottenham target Nathan Ferguson in January
West Brom fear they could lose Nathan Ferguson in the summer for nothing and could sell him in January, according to the Daily Mail.
The right-back is a free agent at the end of the season and has been linked with Tottenham (h/t Daily Mail).
The report adds that Crystal Palace are also keen on the U20 full-back and both London clubs want him in January.
However, the Championship side want to tie down their rising star to a new five-year deal (h/t Daily Mail).
However, they fear that Ferguson could even let his deal run down and move abroad in the summer (h/t Daily Mail).
Tottenham want to solve a problem area
Tottenham have had issues with their right-back slot in recent years.
Kieran Trippier was sold in the summer to Atletico Madrid while Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters have struggled to stay fit at the club.
Aurier has also struggled for form and the report claims that Tottenham see Ferguson as a long-term solution to this position.
It will be interesting to see if we move for the youngster in the winter window. Spurs could wait till the end of the campaign and land him for a compensation fee decided by a tribunal too.
