Zlatan Ibrahimovic to make Serie A return after snubbing Tottenham
Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will snub Premier League links and move to AC Milan, according to the Daily Telegraph (h/t Express).
The 38-year-old is a free agent after his stint with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Ibrahimovic was linked with Tottenham and Manchester United, however, he has agreed a deal in principle to return to Milan (h/t Express).
Zlatan spent a couple of seasons with the Serie A giants after leaving Barcelona. The Swede was great with Milan and it will be interesting to see how he does at the age of 38.
The striker did a decent job during his time with United and won the Europa League and EFL Cup.
What next for Mourinho?
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho could have done with more cover for Harry Kane.
It will be interesting to see what his next move is, given that the transfer window is less than a month away.
Ibra would have been a great signing for Mourinho. The Portuguese would know how to get the best of the striker and Ibrahimovic’s presence in the backroom could have helped the side too.
However, the striker is a little larger than life and is extremely outspoken.
We could do with more cover coming in for Harry Kane, and there are a ton of games to come over the festive period.
