Tottenham and Napoli in contact over Kalidou Koulibaly
Kalidou Koulibaly is one of the best centre-backs in the world. The 28-year-old has been magnificent for Napoli in recent years, and is one of the few defenders to have ensured Liverpool didn’t beat them easily.
Napoli aren’t having a great time in recent months and El Desmarque claims that Jose Mourinho is keen on landing the Senegal star (h/t Calciomercato).
The report adds that Tottenham and Napoli are in contact over the centre-back and the star is valued at €100m (h/t Calciomercato).
Real Madrid are also keen on landing the defender and the report claims he could leave given the condition at the Serie A club. Napoli have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League group stage. However, they lie seventh in the Serie A, 17 points behind leaders Inter Milan.
Tottenham’s defensive issues
Spurs ran out 5-0 winners in their previous league game against Burnley. The Clarets never really put up a fight, and Son Heung-min scored an incredible solo goal. Mourinho saw us concede two goals in his first four games in charge, and that has to change.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are free agents in the summer, and it will be interesting to see which one of the stars stays at the club.
