Tottenham learn their possible opponents for next round of Champions League
Tottenham’s final Champions League group game saw them lose 3-1 to Bayern Munich in Germany.
The match didn’t count for much as we had already qualified for the next round, and we could not overtake them with the win either.
Coming second in the group has some disadvantages as we have to travel for the second leg in the round of 16 tie.
We also are set to face one of the group winners when the draw is made. Spurs cannot face Bayern again in the next round or any of the English teams.
The possible opponents for us are Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Barcelona, RB Leipzig and Valencia.
Jose Mourinho would have a plan to counter even the best teams in the competition, and it will be interesting to see who we face.
One easy clash to look forward to?
Tottenham reached the final of the Champions League in the previous season, and we have the capability of doing that again.
Mourinho is one of the best in nullifying the opposition over two legs, and we could spring a surprise against Barca, PSG or even Juventus.
RB Leipzig have been flying high in the Bundesliga but a tie against Valencia should make us favourites for the next round.
