Real Madrid are prepared to sell Isco and bring in Eriksen
Real Madrid are looking to sign Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen this January. They are prepared to sell players in order to way for the Danish superstar, who is unhappy at Spurs. (h/t Mail Online)
Isco could be one of the players on his way out with the player linked with a £44million move to Chelsea. (h/t Mirror)
The Spanish international has had a season to forget, contributing to just 2 goals and 1 assist in 16 appearances for Madrid. (h/t Whoscored)
He has been unable to nail down a spot in the Madrid XI and has played just 451 minutes in the league, prompting Madrid to sell the player.
Two birds with one stone?
With Eriksen’s contract expiring in the summer and the player not interested in staying beyond it, Spurs face the possibility of losing a world-class talent for free.
With players of Eriksen’s calibre hard to replace, not to mention expensive, Spurs should instead try to include Isco in a deal for Eriksen.
Not only will it provide us with a replacement for the Danish playmaker but also prevents Chelsea from strengthening a key position.
