Tottenham have submitted an opening £40m bid for James Maddison.

Maddison is reportedly set to cost £80million and considering our financial situation, it is unlikely that we will bid anything close to the amount (h/t Express). It is a shame as the Englishman would have added much-needed dynamism and movement to our midfield.

Maddison is one of the best young midfielders in the league and will be an asset for club and nation in the years to come. Whether he does move to Manchester United or commits to Leicester remains to be seen.
