Spurs cut short Cameron Carter-Vickers’s loan at Stoke City
The American joined the Potters on a season-long deal in the summer, but Spurs have decided to cut short his stay and recall him to London.
This is Vickers’s fourth spell out on loan from parent club Tottenham and has made 15 appearances for Stoke this season. (h/t Standard)
The defender’s spell at Stoke will officially end on 2 January.
A player who is capable of playing the ball out from the back, Vickers could be rotated into the team as games come in thick and fast.
With January transfer unlikely, Mourinho may give Vickers his Spurs debut as he rotates the squad for the business end of the season. (h/t Express)
Jack Clarke and Kazaiah Sterling have also been recalled from their loan spells from Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers respectively. (h/t BBC)
