Premier League rivals emerge as potential suitors for this young Tottenham defender

Paul Robinson believes Antonio Conte would love Kyle Walker-Peters back at Tottenham Hotspur.

Brighton are hopeful of signing Spurs right-back Kyle Walker-Peters

Brighton and Hove Albion are reportedly keen to sign Tottenham‘s 22-year-old right-back Kyle Walker-Peters this January. (h/t Daily Mail)

The 22-year-old starlet hasn’t been able to break into the starting XI for Spurs in spite of Serge Aurier’s inconsistency or Danny Rose being out of favor.

Walker-Peters has just made one appearance for Tottenham under Mourinho, with the solitary outing coming in the away loss to Bayern.

Brighton hopes to take advantage of the lack of opportunities to sign the defender this January. Given the Seagulls’ options at right-back,Walker-Peters will find chances aplenty.

Having come through the youth ranks, it appears that Walker-Peters will not make the grade as a regular at Tottenham.

Mourinho does not seem to rate Walker-Peters and it would be prudent for Spurs to sell him in January to make money available which can then be reinvested in the squad.

Tottenham have been uncharacteristically shambolic in defense and a defensive rebuild is in the cards.

With right-backs such as Max Aarons and Nathan Ferguson linked, it will be in everyone’s interests if Walker-Peters is moved along.

Having come through the youth ranks, Walker-Peters has made 24 appearances for Tottenham since making his debut in 2017.
