Milan have re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was a free agent. The club is prepared to sell Piatek in January if they can recoup the £31m they paid for the striker a year ago.
Piatek has made 39 appearances for the Rossoneri and has scored 15 goals.
Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Aston Villa have also shown interest in the Polish international who has represented his country 10 times.
Spurs are in the midst of an injury crisis and with Kane out, have no fit senior striker in the squad. With Champions League qualification a necessity, the club may have to turn to the transfer market for solutions.
Tottenham are reportedly not interested in an expensive permanent deal and are more likely to pursue the player on loan. (h/t Guardian)
Milan are unlikely to sanction such a deal with them looking to offload the player permanently. It remains to be seen if the club’s stance will change towards the end of the transfer window.

Three Harry Kane replacements Tottenham must target to salvage season
Piatek is a classic number 9 who is effective in the box and can thrive as the focal point in attack. He has previously named Harry Kane as his role model in an interview during his time at Genoa.
He now has a chance to replace the player he takes after and will hope to make the same impact if the transfer goes through.
Piatek made his debut for the Polish national team in 2018 in a 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland. He has scored 5 goals for his country.
