Tottenham Hotspur could sign striker Ze Luis from Porto
Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Porto striker Ze Luis on loan in the January transfer window. (h/t Telegraph)
The striker is one of many being considered by Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho who lost his only senior striker Harry Kane to injury.
Ze Luis’s representatives are hopeful the deal can the completed. The deal reportedly also gives Spurs the option to sign the player permanently.
The Cape Verde international signed for Porto from Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2019. He has scored 7 goals in 17 appearances for the Portuguese giants this season. (h/t Whoscored)
Ze Luis is managed by Jorge Mendes, who also happens to be Mourinho’s agent. Mendes has already taken Gedson Fernandes from Benfica to Spurs this month in an 18-month loan worth £3.8million.
With Harry Kane out injured, signing a senior striker has become a priority for Tottenham.
AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek was linked with a move to North London. That deal is now understood to be unlikely given the costs involved.
