Paris Saint-Germain interested in on-loan Tottenham star Danny Rose
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Tottenham loanee Danny Rose, according to The Sun.
Rose is currently on loan at Newcastle United, having joined the Magpies in January. With his contract expiring in the summer of 2021, Rose’s loan is as good as an audition for his next move.
The English international is being scouted as a replacement for Layvin Kurzawa. The French left-back is likely to leave the club in the summer when his contract expires with Arsenal and Juventus keen.
With Rose out of favour at Tottenham, the chances of him being allowed to leave are good. According to the report, the 29-year-old is keen on a move to Paris after being frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Mourinho.
Rose joined Spurs from Leeds United in 2007. He progressed up the youth ranks before making his Spurs debut in 2009. A number of loan deals were to follow before he established himself at the club in 2013.
The defender was a crucial part of the Spurs rebuild under Mauricio Pocchettino and played the 90 minutes of the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool. The 29-year-old has made 214 appearances for Tottenham and has scored 10 goals for the club. (h/t Whoscored)
