Spurs face Jack Grealish as the midfielder looks to show what we missed

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Villa Park to take on Jack Grealish’s struggling Aston Villa in the club’s first match post the winter break.

It will give both the Tottenham management and fans the chance to get a first-hand account of midfielder Jack Grealish. The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur with Spurs, making an initial offer worth £25 million.

Villa rejected the offer and Grealish has since gone on to establish himself as one of the league’s best English midfielders. He has been the standout performer for Villa in his debut season in the English top flight. Grealish has scored seven goals and five assists in 23 Premier League appearances so far.

The 24-year-old could have added some much-needed drive and imagination to a Spurs midfield that has at times flattered to deceive this season.

His form have seen him be linked with a move to Manchester United. There are some reports that even state he is the club’s primary transfer target for the summer. (h/t Metro)

Grealish will have the chance to show Spurs exactly what they missed out on this weekend. He has been Villa’s best player by a mile and will likely represent the biggest threat to the Tottenham defense. Spurs’ chances of coming away with a win will depend on how well they can close down the English midfielder.
