Moussa Sissoko sends message to Spurs fans amidst recovery from injury

Moussa Sissoko has stepped up his efforts as he continues his recovery from injury.

The 30-year old French international has been on the sidelines since he damaged the ligament on his right knee in the 1-0 defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day.

The player had earlier missed France’s successful World Cup run in 2018. With the Euros to be held this summer, Sissoko should try to return to the pitch as soon as possible.

The midfielder is back at Hotspur Way following his surgery. The 30-year-old uploaded a Twitter video on Tuesday with the message ‘no pain no gain. I will be back soon’. The video continues to showcase the midfielder working on strengthening his knee and also working out in the pool. (h/t Football London)

The video of the player working with the ball just a month after his surgery has gone down well with Tottenham fans. Although Lo Celso and Harry Winks have impressed in the midfielder’s absence, his return would give us a direct and dynamic threat.

With Gedson Fernandes also growing into his role, Sissoko will have a fight on his hands to reclaim his starting spot.

Sissoko has won 62 caps for the French national side. The midfielder’s return should aid Spurs’ push for the top four going into the final weeks of the season.
